Jann was acknowledged for her pioneering work in the 1980’s with residential school trauma on this Preface Page in the book Reclaiming Connections: Understanding Residential School Trauma Among Aboriginal People, author Deborah Chansonneuve and published by The Aboriginal Healing Foundation, 2005.   Note: error in identifying her as a social worker instead of a Family Therapist.

Jann received the John Banmen Award in 2008 for outstanding contributions to Family Therapy in British Columbia.
